About the syndicate ›Ownership shouldn’t need a six-figure outlay. Chronos Thoroughbreds splits the cost across a select group of members, with real access: stable visits, owner-for-the-day badges and a share in every high of the season.

A maximum of ten members per horse — become a founding member of Chronos Thoroughbreds and be part of the story from day one.
A new Irish racing syndicate built on one simple idea: the thrill of ownership is better shared.

Chronos Thoroughbreds was born from a lifelong obsession with horses, shaped by years in the trenches as both an owner and a syndicate member. With a degree in Business Studies and Marketing—and currently studying Equine Science and Management—the vision was always to combine professional rigour with genuine turf-side passion.
Teaming up with top-tier trainer Ado McGuinness, Chronos was created to offer an exciting, sophisticated, and successful ownership experience. But we do things differently: we keep our syndicates intentionally small, capping each horse at a maximum of 10 shareholders. This ensures a tight-knit, inclusive group where every member’s voice is heard, and everyone shares an active, personal connection to the journey from the stable yard to the winners’ enclosure.
In Greek mythology, Chronos is the personification of time, and in racing, time is everything: races won by a short head, and the years of patience and care behind every winner. Our emblem joins a horse’s head with an hourglass to capture exactly that, a thoroughbred and the moment that matters.
From the day-to-day running of the syndicate to the training yard and the camera lens, meet the team behind every Chronos horse.

A fractional share for a modest upfront fee and a fixed annual fee.
The syndicate is divided into ten shares of 10% each, and shareholders can buy up to a maximum of 40%, or four shares. You pay an initial purchase price for the horse, then a fixed annual fee.
Stable visits, owner-for-the-day badges at the racecourse with parade ring and owners' enclosure access, and networking events with fellow racing enthusiasts. Capped at ten shares per horse, so your voice is heard.
Members form lasting friendships through shared group chats, social events and race-day meetups — the emotional highs of a win, and the collective support after a hard-luck run, make it far more engaging than watching as a spectator.
Pay the initial purchase price for the horse, then a fixed annual fee covering training, veterinary care, shoeing and transport.
Racing schedules, health care and regulatory paperwork are handled entirely by the syndicate manager and trainer — no admin headache.
Regular stable visits, morning gallops and media-rich WhatsApp updates keep you closely connected to your horse's progress.
Prize money is distributed among members in proportion to their share, after trainer, jockey and management deductions. Any residual value is split when the horse is sold or retired.
Every share is priced in two parts: an upfront purchase price for the horse itself, and a fixed annual fee covering training, veterinary care, insurance, entries and management. Because bloodstock and training costs vary from horse to horse, the exact breakdown is set individually for each horse we bring into the yard.
No surprise bills through the year — you know your costs from day one.

The Chronos colours carry the navy and gold of the syndicate onto the racecourse. Every time a Chronos horse runs, the jockey wears these silks, so they're the colours members cheer home.
Look for them on the racecard, on TV and in the parade ring on race day.

Ado McGuinness's yard combines a traditional brick-built stable block with a large covered barn, so horses can be cared for, tacked up and prepared in comfort whatever the Irish weather brings.

Regular trips to the beach are part of the routine. Walking and trotting through cold sea water is a traditional way to help keep horses' legs cool and sound, and a change of scenery from the gallops keeps them fresh and happy in their work.

The gallops are where the real work happens. Horses canter up in a string most mornings, and faster pieces of work are used to sharpen them as a race approaches, all carefully planned so each horse arrives at the racecourse fit and ready.

A closer look at the team behind the yard — riders, staff and horses at work on the gallops and down on the beach.

A landmark result for our trainer Ado McGuinness, with Pierre Royal winning the bet365 Cambridgeshire at Newmarket — one of Britain's most famous and competitive heritage handicaps. It follows Pierre Royal's win in the Dubai Duty Free Derby Festival Handicap at the Curragh earlier in the year.
Chronos Thoroughbreds is open for founding members. Our first horse, six-time winner Daamberdiplomat, joins the syndicate and is in training with Ado McGuinness at his yard in Lusk, north County Dublin. Shares are limited to ten members.
Ownership shouldn't need a six-figure outlay. Chronos Thoroughbreds was founded to split that cost across a small group of shareholders who get real access — stable visits, owner-for-the-day badges, and a community that shares in every high and low of the season.
Another feature handicap for the McGuinness yard, with Pierre Royal taking the valuable Dubai Duty Free Derby Festival Handicap at the Curragh — adding to a career highlights list that already includes two Group 1s.
The practical questions members ask most before buying into a share.
A 10% share in Daamberdiplomat costs €7,800 in total — €4,400 payable upfront to Adrian McGuinness Bloodstock for the horse itself, and €3,400 in training and expenses payable to Chronos Thoroughbreds over the first year.
Each horse is divided into ten shares of 10% each. Any one member can hold up to a maximum of four shares, or 40%, in a horse.
Training fees (daily rate, race transport, gallops, farriery and supplements), veterinary and miscellaneous costs, insurance, the HRI account covering entries, declarations and jockey fees, and the syndicate manager's commission.
Every horse is insured as part of the annual fee, and the syndicate manager will talk you through the options at the time. Full detail on this is set out in the syndicate agreement provided when you join.
Shares can be transferred to another member with the syndicate manager's agreement. The full process is set out in the syndicate agreement.
Owner-for-the-day badges, parade ring and owners' enclosure access at the track, plus stable visits and networking events with fellow members throughout the season.
Prize money is distributed among members in proportion to their share, after trainer, jockey and management deductions. Any residual value is split when the horse is eventually sold or retired.
Regular stable visits, morning gallops, and media-rich WhatsApp updates from the yard keep every member closely connected to the horse's progress between races.
Treat it as entertainment spend, not an investment product. Syndicate ownership is about the sport and the experience first — prize money, if any, is a bonus rather than a guaranteed return, and racehorse ownership carries real financial and welfare risk like any other. Chronos Thoroughbreds does not provide financial advice.

Chronos Thoroughbreds Racing Syndicate divides ownership of each horse in training into ten shares of 10% each. No single member may hold more than four shares (40%) in any one horse. The purchase price and annual training and expenses fee for each horse are set out on the Syndicate and Available Shares pages at the time shares are offered.

Any residual value on the sale or retirement of a horse is likewise split by shareholding. Shares may be transferred to another member only with the agreement of the syndicate manager.
